A network is a collection of interconnected computers and devices that can communicate and share resources with each other, facilitating data exchange and collaboration.

It stands for Network Interface Card. NIC is used in computers for connecting to switches.

A Network Interface Card is a hardware component in a computer or device that enables it to connect to a network, either wired or wirelessly. NICs manage the transmission and facilitating communication between devices.

Network Switch is used for connect multiple devices (Computer, Printer, Scanner etc.).

Modem is a hardware i.e. is used for Modulator (It converts information from digital mode to analog mode) and Demodulator (It converts information from analog mode to  digital mode).

Modems are used for data transfer from one computer network to another computer network through telephone line. 

Router is used for joint or tie multiple networks together.  

Client computer request to server computer. Client computer is also called personal computer.

Server computer is used for response to client computer. It is a special computer.

A wired network is a network which uses networking cables to connect devices(router, switch, printer etc.).
